Dr. Rujard Thurmer (Dr. Ruj) hails from a small town in Minnesota where there is only one stoplight in the entire county. He went to undergrad at the University of Minnesota, Morris (UMM) where he was a member of the Track and Field team and eventually earned a bachelor of arts degree in Psychology.

During his 3rd year at Morris, he blew his back out squatting. Little did he know, the events on that fateful day would eventually get him started on his journey to becoming a chiropractor.
Medical doctors told him that he would have to quit track and that he may never sprint at a competitive level ever again. He did not like that answer, so he eventually found a chiropractor who helped rehab him back to competition shape through adjustments and therapeutic exercises. At his first track meet back after the injury, he ran a personal record in the 100 meter dash. After graduating from UMM, he started his chiropractic education at Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, MN.
After spending a year there, he came to the conclusion that he no longer wanted to continue his journey at that school. He went on to the University of Western States in Portland, OR where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Human biology and eventually his Doctorate in Chiropractic in late 2022. When it comes to Chiropractic care, Dr. Ruj believes that there isn’t necessarily a one size fits all treatment plan for everybody, so he tries to tailor treatment to the specific needs of the patient.
Some of Dr. Ruj’s interests and hobbies include working out, hunting, aviation, day trading, and hiking/camping with his wife (Leah) and two dogs (Hazel & Cannon).
